Trauma Healing Collective

The Trauma Healing Collective started in response to the Standing Rock Movement. Earth Advocate students wanted to help, but were physically unable to get to South Dakota. Water Protectors were traveling through the Bay Area, including Elders, who had been subject to the stress of psychological warfare and of repeated harassment from law enforcement, and were physically ill from environmental toxins. Earth Advocates mobilized and coordinated local healers who were willing to offer gratis services to water protectors in need. The spirit of this effort continues with free healing services for those in need in the community with limited accessibility and resources. Examples include but may not be limited to:

  • Elders actively doing community work and dealing with health challenges
  • Members of the homeless community with health challenges
  • Survivors of violence or traumatic discrimination due to race, gender or sexual identity
  • Survivors of police brutality or state-sponsored violence
  • Survivors of natural disasters
  • Veterans suffering from PTSD
  • Front-line activists who have faced violence or arrest
  • Recent sexual assault or domestic violence survivors
  • Low-income, postpartum single mothers
  • Those with severe physical disability

If you fall into one of these categories or know someone who does, or are suffering from PTSD and in financial need, please use the contact form below to get in touch. Right now, these services are only offered in-person in the Greater Bay Area of California. If you’d like to request long-distance reiki, alert us on the contact form. Let us know if there is a particular type of natural healing you’re in need of and we’ll do our best to fill your request. Someone will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your needs and how we can best help.

**If you’re a practitioner and would like to join the collective, please contact us!**
